OUR

STORY

785 million people today don't have basic access to water, according to UNICEF. Yet, the global investment is about one third what is needed to bring water to all by 2030 and reach the United Nations goal.

The people of Mozambique are vibrant and full of life! Much of the country is green and lush and has so many resources to support such a vibrant people. The problem is access to it.

44 percent of the country's population don't have access to clean drinking water. In a country of 32.08 million (2021) that means that 14.12 million people don't have adequate drinking water in Mozambique alone.

At Givwater we feel a personal push to do more. We want action and accountability! We know that there is much good in this world and would like to show that there is something everyone and anyone can do to "lift where they stand." You may not be able to go to Africa to dig a well and teach someone how to maintain it, but you can buy yourself some clean water and give some to someone in need! Our first projects are in Mozambique, but we cannot stop there!
